SIE & VME 2025: Strengthening Vietnam–Japan Cooperation in Supporting Industries

Held from August 6–8 in Hanoi, SIE & VME 2025 brought together nearly 200 international brands to strengthen Vietnam–Japan industrial cooperation, promote technology transfer, and support supply chain localization. CNCTech participated as one of Vietnam’s leading manufacturers, showcasing integrated manufacturing capabilities and engaging in productive meetings with partners from both countries.

A Premier Platform for Vietnam–Japan Industrial Collaboration

On the morning of August 6 in Hanoi, the 11th Vietnam–Japan Supporting Industries Exhibition (SIE 2025) officially opened alongside the Vietnam Manufacturing Expo (VME 2025). The combined exhibitions attracted nearly 200 renowned brands from around the world such as SINFONIA, LKM, AMETEK, TECOMACO, HURCO, DYNCAST, and CASTOR & WHEELS. The events aimed to strengthen cooperation, facilitate technology transfer, and create opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to access advanced production technologies, paving the way for deeper integration into global supply chains.

Japanese enterprises have not only invested heavily in Vietnam but also actively transferred technology, management standards, and supply chain connections to Vietnamese companies. This has created favorable conditions for Vietnam to gradually enhance domestic production capacity, increase localization rates, and integrate more deeply into the global manufacturing network.

The exhibitions served as a vivid example of this sustainable partnership. Beyond being a showcase for products and advanced technologies, they acted as an effective bridge between Vietnamese and Japanese businesses, offering a valuable opportunity for domestic enterprises to understand market demands, strengthen management capabilities, expand business cooperation, and work toward becoming suppliers in the global value chain.

Highlights and Industry Focus

SIE & VME 2025 attracted strong attention from sectors such as electronics, automotive, precision engineering, construction, plastics, and chemicals. Visitors experienced solutions for smart factories, advanced technologies, industrial robots, AI applications, and new energy-saving innovations. Alongside product displays, the program featured networking sessions, Buyer Zone meetings, technical seminars, and factory visits—creating efficient B2B exchanges and facilitating targeted business matching.

Despite having over 6,000 supporting industry enterprises nationwide, Vietnam’s localization rate remains around 10%, concentrated mainly in mechanical engineering, electronic components, automotive, and textiles. This underlines the urgent need to enhance technological capabilities and expand production linkages—objectives at the heart of SIE & VME 2025.
