CNCTECH CONNECTS WITH U.S BUSINESS DELEGATION TO EXPAND INDUSTRIAL AND INVESTMENT COOPERATION | CNCTECH

The program connected the capabilities of Vietnamese and U.S. enterprises with specific cooperation needs in manufacturing, technology and innovation.

Held at the initiative of the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, the delegation organized by American Kestrel brought together nearly 20 U.S. companies operating across sectors including defense and security, oil and gas, artificial intelligence, automation, aerospace, energy, telecommunications and investment.

The session also welcomed 16 Vietnamese enterprises representing manufacturing and processing, technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, transportation and related industries.

Pursuing Practical Business Opportunities with Strategic Impact

Representatives of the U.S. delegation shared that the visit to Vietnam was intended to identify business opportunities with clear implementation potential and long-term strategic impact, rather than simply introducing companies or expanding networks.

During the first day of the visit, the delegation held discussions with the U.S. Embassy, Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology, relevant enterprises and senior representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. These engagements enabled the delegates to gain direct insight into Vietnam’s development priorities, technological needs and industrial capabilities.

This objective aligned with American Kestrel’s broader mission for the visit: connecting U.S. technologies, capabilities and capital with Vietnam’s investment, manufacturing and innovation priorities, while contributing to stronger economic ties between the two countries.

At the working session, general company introductions were kept brief so that participants could focus on specific capabilities, partnership requirements and implementation potential. This approach allowed both sides to identify common ground across technology, manufacturing, markets and supply chains more efficiently.

The discussions centered on three key themes emphasized by the U.S. delegation:

These directions demonstrate that U.S. companies are looking beyond market access and are seeking capable partners for joint product development, manufacturing and the establishment of reliable supply chains.

Key Areas of Potential Cooperation

UAV, Aerospace and Precision Machining

Discussions in this area focused on engines, propellers, batteries, electronic components, system design and precision manufacturing capabilities.

Several U.S. delegation members expressed interest in Vietnam’s capabilities in UAVs, USVs and other unmanned systems, while also seeking battery and electronic-component suppliers that could be integrated into regional supply chains.

Vietnamese enterprises also expressed readiness to support OEM and ODM projects, participate in joint product development and contribute to supply chains serving the U.S. market.

Artificial Intelligence, Software and Semiconductors

Artificial intelligence was identified as a priority area for cooperation, with potential applications across business, government, education, finance and critical infrastructure.

The discussions also extended to software, cybersecurity, integrated circuit design, semiconductors and digital infrastructure. Several U.S. companies are exploring the deployment of AI in factories, power grids, transportation and industrial systems in ways that are safe, verifiable and reliable.

Green Transportation and Energy Infrastructure

Proposed areas of cooperation in transportation and energy included ultra-fast charging stations, battery energy storage systems, vehicle-to-grid and battery-to-grid technologies, real-time data, and the localization of equipment and battery production in Vietnam.

These discussions highlighted opportunities beyond technology supply. They also pointed toward joint solution development, local manufacturing and the creation of regional supplier ecosystems.

CNCTech Expands Dialogue with the U.S. Business Community

During the program, CNCTech representatives engaged directly with members of the delegation to better understand the sectors attracting interest from U.S. companies and to expand connections with organizations seeking partners in Vietnam.

For CNCTech, the working session provided an opportunity to gain direct insight into market needs, better understand the expectations of U.S. companies toward manufacturing partners in Vietnam and identify areas aligned with the company’s capabilities.

The emphasis on co-development, co-production and co-innovation also reflects the evolving role of manufacturing partners. Beyond fulfilling individual orders, manufacturers are increasingly expected to support engineering coordination, quality control, product development and long-term collaboration.

Building on the initial connections established during the program, CNCTech will continue to assess relevant opportunities, strengthen its capabilities and expand dialogue with the U.S. business community, with the goal of developing practical and sustainable partnerships.
